Best Roblox Rivals Loadouts

In Rivals everyone has access to the same tools — wins come from aim, movement and ability timing, not unlocks. So the best Roblox Rivals loadout is the one built around how you actually play. Keep one close-range answer and one mid-range answer ready before chasing weapon unlocks.

Three archetype loadouts

Commit to one path around matches 4–7 and build muscle memory before branching.

Best loadouts by playstyle

Each build pairs an S/A-tier primary with an S-tier melee and an ability — use abilities to reposition and create angles, not just for damage or escape.

Loadout Range Primary Melee Ability Why it works
Sniper loadout Long Sniper (S-tier) Katana (S-tier) Grapple Hook Pick from distance; Katana cleans up anyone who closes in
Rusher loadout Close Permafrost (S-tier) Scythe (S-tier) Wall Run Close gaps fast and finish point-blank with the Scythe
All-rounder loadout Medium Assault Rifle (S-tier) Katana (S-tier) Dash Never the best in one range, never wrong — master this first
Ranked loadout Medium–Long Assault Rifle / Sniper Katana (S-tier) Dash Lean on what you headshot with most; consistency beats flash
The best loadout rule
Pick ONE loadout and use only it for several matches. Swapping every weapon at once means you can't measure improvement. Lock a build, learn its spacing, then layer your ability in proactively — initiate with it, don't just escape.
Loadout mistakes to avoid
Standing still to trade shots instead of moving, holding abilities too long, and peeking without a planned retreat. A great loadout can't save bad positioning.

Beginner → advanced progression

Earn your loadout. Start on the free kit, commit to one path, then add an S-tier melee as you climb.

Matches 1–3

Run the free starter kit — Assault Rifle + pistol + Dash. Don't try to win: follow a teammate, learn one map zone, and ask one honest question per death.

Matches 4–7

Commit to ONE archetype and use only that primary. Build muscle memory for its spacing before touching anything else.

Matches 8–10

Layer your ability in proactively — initiate with Grapple Hook, Wall Run or Dash instead of only escaping. Target 5–8 kills a match.

Ranked-ready

Pair your main primary with an S-tier melee (Katana or Scythe) for close finishes, name the best power position on each map, and know WHY you died.

Keep building

Loadouts are only half the fight — tune your aim and check which weapons are meta this month.

Loadout FAQ

Quick answers on the best builds, beginner picks and gun + melee combos.

What is the best loadout in Roblox Rivals?
There is no single best loadout — Rivals gives everyone the same tools, so the best loadout is the one built around how you play. For most players an Assault Rifle (S-tier) primary plus a Katana melee and the Dash ability is the strongest all-round pick. Aggressive players favour Permafrost + Scythe + Wall Run; long-range players run Sniper + Katana + Grapple Hook.
What is the best beginner loadout?
Stick with the free starter kit — Assault Rifle + pistol + Dash. The Assault Rifle is S-tier and forgiving at every range, so it lets you learn spacing and movement before you commit to a specialist build. Don't swap weapons every match; lock one in and measure your improvement.
What is the best gun and melee combo?
Pair an S-tier primary with an S-tier melee so close-range scrambles still go your way. Assault Rifle + Katana is the safest combo; Permafrost + Scythe suits rushers who want a heavy point-blank finisher; Sniper + Katana lets snipers punish anyone who closes the gap.
Do loadouts give a pay-to-win advantage?
No. Progression in Rivals is mostly cosmetic and codes grant currency or cosmetics, not power. Wins come from aim, movement and ability timing — a better loadout helps, but positioning and good ability use matter far more.
